As the Falcons' track season comes to an end, the team reflects on a positive and successful season. After many meets, our runners continued to improve and put on extraordinary performances. Throughout the season, our runners excelled through expectations by setting new personal records each week. From numerous invintationals to Holy Spikes to our CAL League Meets, our runners earned 159 medals as they dominated in all their events. At the Lincoln Zebra Invitational, our Frosh/Soph Boys and Girls both took home a trophy for winning the meet. Varsity athlete Jackson Tallent-Burleson competed in the 100m setting a personal record of 10.94 seconds which ranks 3rd in Christian Brothers history. Keilee Hall, our newest CB track athlete, also had a stand out season. She won MVP at the Modesto Junior College Invitational and she also won four events in the CAL League Championship meet, including the 400m and the 300m Hurdles. She is going on to compete in both of these evetns in Masters. Our Girls' 4x100m Relay also qualified to compete at Masters, and the event will take place on Friday.
At this year's team banquet, many athletes were recognized for their talents and work ethic throughout this season. For the varsity boys, Outstanding Sprinter went to Mikey Petilla, Outstanding Jumper went to Brian Shine, Outstanding Thrower went to Michael Hinton, and Outstanding Distance went to Ryan Dong. Most Valuable Player was awarded to Jackson Tallent-Burleson for his stellar season and leadership role. For varsity girls, Outstanding Sprinter went to Devin Greer, Outstanding Jumper went to Sarah Stinson, Outstanding Thrower went to Dana Greer, and Outstanding Distance went to Elise Henderson. The girls MVP was awarded to Keilee Hall for her amazing athletic ability and energy she brought to the team. For JV boys, Oustanding Sprinter went to Brayden Williams, Outstanding Jumper went to Josiah Campbell, Outstanding Thrower went to Julian Gonzalez, and MVP went to Ezekial Castex. Finally, in JV girls, Outstanding Distance was given to Ella Johl and Outstanding Thrower was given to Ariana Milner.
Overall, our Falcons had an exciting and successful season. They pushed their limits and exceeded expectations, showing that their hard work and dedication paid off. Congratulations runners on such an amazing year!
