Varsity: CB Softball had an eventful week last week completing a total of 6 games to start off the season. Over the 6 games our varsity softball team scored 51 total runs throughout 6 games. We finished our first tournament of the season on Saturday earning our first win against Woodland. We finished with a win, a tie and two losses. Battling through some injuries the girls continued to fight through the weekend. We had some KEY performances from Kennedy Cunha, Hannah Jernigan, and Morgan Strawn who all had solid offensive performances throughout the entire weekend. Kennedy Cunha, a senior leader, stepped up big for us as she caught a majority of our innings last weekend, although it is not her primary position. Jaden Fonts earned her first high school win on the mound vs. Woodland and she threw most of our innings this weekend staying solid for us through four games. This upcoming week, we will face our toughest opponents of the season facing a #1 ranked Sheldon softball team and a tough St. Francis' team. We will wrap up the week with home games against River City and Marysville.
