Varsity: The team lost to Rio Americano Tuesday and the score was 224--202. Lowest scores were shot by Jack Taylor ’24 and Presley Monahan ’23. The team beat El Camino 217-242 on Thursday. The men’s varsity golf team has an 18 hole Cal League #1 Tournament on Monday at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course. The team also competes this week in one league match at home against Del Campo on Thursday.
JV: The men’s JV golf team did not have a match this week. The team plays Rio Americano on Tuesday at Haggin Oaks Arcade Creek Golf Course.
This week the men’s tennis team had two matches this week and lost to Vista del Lago 8-1 at home. The team beat El Camino at El Camino 9-0. The team plays Tuesday at home vs Rio Americano and away Thursday Vs Del Campo.
The swim team competed against Del Campo on Thursday and the varsity girl’s won. Del Campo did not have a JV swim team for us to swim against this week. The varsity boys lost in a close match up with Del Campo. The team competes in their senior night and last league meet on Wednesday at Vista del Lago High School.
The girl divers went 1,2,3 against Del Campo with Phifey Boyers taking the top spot, Kate Ruecker the 2nd place, and Sydney Smith rounding out the top 3. Sage Felder who was the 4th placer learned several new dives this week and continues to perform better each week.
On the mens side, Ethan Hindman was the leader for CB, and he is working hard to be a top contender in the Section finals. Ethan is a natural in his diving and impressive at every meet.
The Varsity Girls lacrosse team had just one game last week they beat Roseville 15-1 and had the opportunity to celebrate our 9 seniors. Senior Julia Brousseau scored her first 2 goals of the season. Seniors Megan Cann and Simone LeForestier helped with goals an asissts and sophomore Tara Cooper continued to practice the draw and draw control. The Senior Night celebration was lovely and the team is grateful for all the support.
JV: JV Men's Volleyball had a matchup against Vista De Lag0 at Vista and won the match in 2, first set 25-22 & second set 25-20. In the first set Mack had 1 Kill & 1 Dig, Dineen had 1 Kill, Nguyen had 1 Ace & 1Dig, Marcantonio-Olivia had 1 Dig, Grijsztein had 1 Ace, Kapicka had 2 Kills, Goyette had 1 Kill, Ryan had 1 Ace, 1 Kill, 7 Assists & 2 Digs, Gonong had 1 Kill & 3 Digs. In Set 2 Mack had 1 Kill & 2 Blocks, Dineen had 1 Kill, Grijsztein had 2 Digs, Nguyen had 3 Digs, Davis had 2 Kills, Marcantonio-Olivia had 2 Kills, Ryan had 2 Block, 7 Assists & 5 Digs, Kapicka had 1 Kill, Gonong had 3 Digs.
We hosted Bella Vistas second JV Team at home on Thursday and took the match in 2 as well, 25-15 & 25-6. Mack had 2 Kills, 1 Dig &1 Block, Dineen had 1 Kill & 1 Dig, Grijsztein had 1 Ace & 1 Dig, Nguyen had 1 Dig, Marcantonio-Olivia had 2 Aces, 1 Block & 1 Dig, Ryan had 5 Assists & 2 Digs, Gonong had ! Ace. in the second set Mack had 1 Ace, 1 Kill & 1 Block, Grijsztein had 1 Ace, Nguyen had 3 Aces & 1 Dig, Goyette had 1 Kill, Marcantonio -Olivia had 1 Ace, Ryan had 4 Aces, 2 Assists

Freshman: This week the Freshman Falcons baseball team had a doubleheader at home vs. Laguna Creek High School. Game 1 went slow for the offense and had many mistakes on defense resulting in a 8-0 loss. Game 2 was a different story winning 12-2 behind Austin Mcdermott ‘25 pitching 4 innings only giving up 2 runs. William Faust ‘25 had 3 hits and 5 RBI’s including a inside the park homerun. Jordan Medina ‘25 had 3 hits with a double and Joey Pelka ‘25 had 2 hits with a double. The Falcons have a tough week ahead playing a 3 game series vs. RIo Americano and a home doubleheader against Del Oro on Saturday.
JV: Played at Roseville Wednesday night, putting in their best performance of the season to date. Seven different Falcons took shots on goal, with four different players scoring. Matthew Harris '25 led the way with two scores, while John Koch '25, Zach Castillo '25 and Sebastian Fernandez '24 each connected for goals of their own. The defense held strong, only allowing one Tiger goal, with Stephen Hewitt '25 repeatedly showing his skills as a defender.
Varsity: Played their most exciting game of the season against Roseville. Six different Falcons added to their Goals stat, with two recorded each by Bradey Tyler '24 and Liam Gough '23. Regulation ended with a stunning Ryan McLaughlin '25 to Connor Koepke '24 slamdunk score in the last 10 seconds of clock time. Unfortunately the Tigers scored first in OT, ending the game. From there the team returned home to play an always-tough Davis team Friday night. Tuese Rodriguez '22 could not stop the barrage of shots from the Blue Devils, but recorded 23 Davis shots that were either saved or off the mark. Sam Ketcher '22 and Liam Gough '23 each reached the back of the net for scores. Jackson Schlink '22, Bennett Kimble '22 and John Siddens '24 all worked to limit the Davis offense, but in the end the Falcons fell 2-10.
