The men’s lacrosse season kicked off with a whirlwind start. We started with a home and season opener against Bella Vista Varsity. Sam Ketcher ’22 scored the team’s first goal of the season. At the end of regulation, the game was tied 6-6. Tyler Webster ’21 wasted no time in the OT, scoring the winning goal within the first minute. The team then hosted the Rio Americana Raiders on Friday night, losing to a tough Rio Varsity squad. The game saw playing time by every member of the Falcons team, including Connor Koepke ’24, John Siddens ’24, and Jordan Hsu ’24.
Our second week included three games, the first being an away game at Whitney High School, where seniors Matt ’21 and Joe ’21 Solari both scored their first goals of the season. The Falcons couldn’t pull out the win though, even with solid performances on both sides of the ball and 13 saves by goalie Nate Guererro ’23.
The week continued with an exciting JV game at home against Woodcreek. Seven Falcons attempted shots during the game, with the fourth quarter ending 4-4. In OT, Brady Tyler ’24 added a fourth goal to his evening, sealing the deal for the win. 4/27: CB at El Camino- On Tuesday, the visiting Falcons jumped on the host Eagles early in the game. The CB boys showed up hungry and played with an intensity that couldn’t be matched. The Falcons took the early lead off a clean finish from senior Tyler Valerio, assisted by fellow senior Jose Regalado. Regalado followed-up his assist with a nice goal of his own just before halftime. After earning a free-kick from 25 yards out, the Falcons set-up for a direct kick. Senior Ben Delfino made a “dummy run” over the ball, and Regalado followed through with a curling blast into the upper netting of the goal to give the Falcons the 2-0 lead. This 2-goal advantage would wind up being the final score, although CB had many great goal-scoring chances in the second half. Senior Kenrick Dawson hit the woodwork of the goal and fellow seniors Cole Hanna and Antonio Jacobo narrowly missed scoring in the half. The defense, lead by seniors Desmond Greer, Zach Chavez-Santsche and Ben Delfino held the Eagles in check most of the game, while Sophomore Gabriel Eshleman earned the shut-out in goal.
4/29: CB at Vista Del Lago- On Thursday, the Falcons travelled to Folsom to face the Eagles of Vista. While the Falcons came out with a great work rate and focus, it was not enough to defeat the home team. CB lost 3-0. The team fought till the end of the match and created some good opportunities to score.
While this season was not what any of us had predicted or hoped for, I am grateful for the season that we were able to have. We have a great group of seniors who will be moving on from our program. I am thankful for their contributions over the past four years and the opportunity to work with them this season. Thank you Desmond, Ben, Zach, Tyler, Everett, Kenrick, Jose, Cole, and Antonio! Each one of you were great teammates this season. You set a great example for our younger players and our program is better because of you!

In addition help came from the following underclassmen, Grace Cloete (22), Gwen Culleton (22), Brooklyn Horst (23), Lily Jensen (23), Cera LaComb (22), Claire LaRocca (22), Kristin Lee (22), Paola Pasqua (23), Eliana Pellegri (22), Scarlet Pope (23), Lillian Smith (22), Katelyn Spencer (22) and Sarah Pritchard (24).
